Wolves’ Former Players Association are delighted to have agreed a partnership with the Tipton & Coseley Building Society to sponsor this year’s Annual Golf Day.
The Annual Golf Day is one of the flagship events of Wolves FPA, delivered every September at Oxley Park Golf Club involving former players and Wolves supporters, but also raising valuable funds to help support local charities.
The new sponsorship from the Tipton will provide invaluable additional backing to the event and ensure that the FPA can both continue and step up its work across the community.
“Our annual Golf Day, organised by Steve Daley with the support of the FPA committee, has become a really popular event in our calendar and is vital to our work,” says John Richards, former Wolves striker and now club Vice-President and Chairman of the FPA.
“In recent years, that work has continued to grow and develop so that not only do we provide donations to many good causes, but also deliver a range of support to our former players.
“As well as enjoying a really positive relationship with Wolves, we are also more involved than ever with national conversations around issues affecting the health and wellbeing of our former players.
“We are only a small committee, so the partnerships we are able to build with local businesses and other organisations is crucial, just like this one with the Tipton & Coseley Building Society.
“From the moment we met Harj (Head of Retail Harjit Singh), and found out more about the Building Society, we were really impressed by their work in the community, and it feels like a perfect fit for the two of us to link up.
“We are really appreciative of their support which will help us continue to make a positive difference, and are looking forward to linking up for another great Golf Day in September.”

The Tipton is an independent building society providing a range of mortgage products and saving accounts. It opened new premises in Codsall last November, extending its branch network beyond the Black Country and into Staffordshire.
Now in its 125th year, the Tipton helps customers achieve their most important financial goals, but also with a vision to make a positive impact on everyone it interacts with, including customers, colleagues and communities.
Head of Retail Harjit Singh said: “We are committed to delivering the best service and regularly giving back to others as a responsible, community-orientated business. We feel sure the partnership between Wolves FPA and the Tipton will be a successful one, with the potential to grow further over time.”
“It has been such a pleasure to link up with the Tipton, and we are hugely appreciative of their support of the FPA via sponsorship of the Golf Day,” added Richard Green, Wolves FPA’s Administration Manager.
“We are looking forward to welcoming them as a presence on the day, but also working together to raise valuable funds which will provide a really positive benefit to the communities we both serve.”
